It’s here!

All of our hard work and preparation has led to this moment: it’s time to set up! As people walk into the convention center on Tuesday, they will be impressed by how amazing everything looks; the machines line up in perfect banks, all shiny and new.

To further capture what happens behind the scenes: it’s getting 400 machines set up in four-and-a-half days in a 25,000-square-foot booth. To put that into perspective, it’s like erecting a small casino!

In previous blogs, you’ve been introduced to some of the product team responsible for developing our games; now it’s all in the hands of our logistics team. They are tasked with getting everything there, set up, and most importantly, making sure that everything works.

Leading the charge are Kelley Myers and Travis Dugger, from our Product Management team, along with the yin to my yang, Staci Behnke in Marketing. I couldn’t ask for better partners in crime.

Additionally, tremendous gratitude to Chris McFarlane, who flew in from Canada and worked through the night to ensure that miles and miles of cabling and electrical cords are running properly underneath the carpet. I have no idea how he’s still functioning, but he is here and still smiling!

We’ve unloaded 14 trucks filled to the rim with our machines and equipment; 12 trucks from our booth company; and four trucks from our sign company.

Our team wouldn’t be complete without our Field Services team. Led by Anthony Silva and Adam Thibault who have arrived with their entourage of technicians! Additionally, 50 product engineers and others will soon join us in our booth. It really does take a small village!

Our Logistics team is working tirelessly to build our booth, and we know that somehow, someway on Sunday evening things will start to fall into place. When our Sales team arrives on Monday and takes its first peek, everything will be in its place, and by Tuesday morning everything will shine. Countdown to IGT’s Innovation at Play! Cheers,
