I’ve been with IGT for 22 years and have experienced several ICE shows! My career began with GTECH, when we helped to set up The National Lottery in the UK. Since then, my career has been very dynamic and I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world, spending long periods working in Australia and North America, while taking on different roles to keep the challenges fresh and exciting.
Now I work in the product marketing group for player account platforms. We focus on giving our operators the tools to truly understand their players so their patrons can experience the best possible gaming experiences. This year we saw the launch of a single core player platform, IGT CommandTM, designed for all of our market segments. This involved multiple disciplines and teams coming together and nobody fell short of showing that enthusiasm and work ethic that I have come to expect and love during my time at IGT. Our desire is to launch something really special, and with London being such a cosmopolitan city with a buzz that attracts people from all over the world, ICE is the perfect place to showcase IGT Command.
One of my best memories at ICE was when I attended an event in London hosted by the Sault Sainte Marie Chambers of Commerce, held on a boat dock in Canary Wharf. It promoted Sault Sainte Marie as a location for investment from the gaming industry and was a unique experience attended by the Canadian ambassador to the UK and other political representatives. I was responsible for technical marketing for Canada, and it gave me a fantastic opportunity to appreciate the positive, wider impact that IGT has on communities across the world. I had the chance to meet a range of people from businesses, educational institutes and other organizations based there who were keen to get involved and saw IGT as leaders in our industry.
