With G2E mere weeks away, our teams are feverishly working to get everything done before we start packing our trucks; we are officially in the homestretch.

Our show tagline this year is “Let’s Play,” which builds on last year’s theme; Innovation at Play. One of the things I like about this tagline is that it speaks to where we are as a company at this very moment and it is a call to action….Let’s Play!

While planning this year’s show, I tried to keep that in mind that at the end of the day, IGT makes games for people to play - we entertain people and we want them to have a fun experience. So even though we have put in long hours, really, really long hours, to get to this point; I think, as a team, we have been able to stay focused, on track and still have fun. Not a day has gone by that we haven’t ended up laughing, sometimes with each other, other times at each other.
I feel fortunate to lead this project. This will be my 14th G2E and it never gets old. Nothing matches the sheer exhaustion leading up to the show, just when you think you can’t go on, you get a boost of energy when you first walk on to the trade show floor and the trucks start unloading.
There is something about set up that is exciting, it may be the fact that we arrive to concrete floors and forklifts and five days later, there is plush carpet, bars, video chandeliers, double decker meeting rooms and of course the stars of the show, our 400+ machines and products perfectly placed in our 25,000sq ft booth.
For our core show team, we have drafted the best players from marketing, product and our design studios. We are responsible for taking the hard work of all the other IGT departments and getting their respective products to the show on time and ready to shine.
Last year we premiered a new booth, so what should you expect this year? You will have to wait and see, but I can tell you that we have kicked it up a notch, because that is what we do and who we are.
To have a great show you need great partners, these are two of the best!

Let’s get this show started, we are ready to Play!
