Behind the Scenes

Posted 9/27/2015 by Liette Hebert

In the next two blogs we will be introducing you to a few of the people who have been an integral part to the planning and execution of the 2015 Global Gaming Expo. We’d like to introduce you to Aron Lopez, our Casino Design Specialist, and Kelley Myers from our Product team.

Let’s start with Aron; Aron can you describe what you do?

Aron Lopez

I have been described by many as the CAD guru, but I am not sure how accurate that is in reality. I am a designer with a background in both architecture and interior design. My position as a Casino Designer operates about 95% to our clientele both domestically and internationally. Services requested by clients and internal IGT associates are: Spatial planning for casino floors, high-limit areas, bars and 3D renderings. Depending on the type of services requested, a proposal may be presented, which can bring some ROI to the Company.

Jennifer, can you give us a brief overview of what you do?

I am responsible for the global Product Marketing of all commercial gaming products (excluding premium products), International Field Marketing and global Sales Enablement.  I lead a diverse group of individuals that is based around the world.

I love that in Product Marketing I am integrated into the new product introduction launch process to ensure that we have the right assets in place to properly market our games on property, as well as crafting integrated global campaigns from the “product launch” through the “sustain” phases.

Innovation Well-Played!

Posted 10/6/2016 by Liette Hebert

Five days of set up, three days of presenting our new products, and two days to tear everything down and ship it out have flown by; G2E is all over for another year. I think it’s safe to say that this was IGT’s best G2E showcase in history! We were tasked with demonstrating our innovations to customers, the industry, and even ourselves that we are now the “new” IGT.

G2E 2016!!!

Posted 9/9/2016 by Liette Hebert

It’s hard to believe that a year has already passed since G2E 2015! So much has happened in this past year, and we are so excited to show you what we’ve been up to.

The first thing you’ll notice at the show is our new location. You can find us by entering the very first exhibit door and following the orange carpet. Not only have we moved, but we have changed the look and feel of our booth. Our 25,000-square-foot booth is now an “L” shape and it’s jam-packed with color, excitement, innovation and fun!

It’s here!

Posted 9/23/2016 by Liette Hebert

All of our hard work and preparation has led to this moment: it’s time to set up! As people walk into the convention center on Tuesday, they will be impressed by how amazing everything looks; the machines line up in perfect banks, all shiny and new.

To further capture what happens behind the scenes: it’s getting 400 machines set up in four-and-a-half days in a 25,000-square-foot booth. To put that into perspective, it’s like erecting a small casino!

Lets Play

Posted 9/26/2017 by Liette Hebert

To get a sneak peek into what we will be showing or playing at this year’s show, we caught up with Mike Brennan, our Senior Director of Product Management to see if he could share a few tidbits with us. He was hard to catch, but I succeeded in getting his perspective on a few questions for us.

The Homestretch!

Posted 9/18/2017 by Liette Hebert

With G2E mere weeks away, our teams are feverishly working to get everything done before we start packing our trucks; we are officially in the homestretch.

Our show tagline this year is “Let’s Play,” which builds on last year’s theme; Innovation at Play. One of the things I like about this tagline is that it speaks to where we are as a company at this very moment and it is a call to action….Let’s Play!
